Kay N. Kasper

Kay N. Kasper, attorney since 2002, partner of the firm since 1 July 2006, acts primarily in national and multi-national patent litigation and advises also in all matters related to intellectual property rights especially designs patents. He advises clients in many technical areas such as telecommunications, information technology, mechanics, automotive and medical devices, also in transactional matters. Moreover, Kay Kasper has significant experience in negotiating license and cooperation agreements and in co-ordinating with U.S. and English patent litigation.

Since the beginning of his studies 1994 he has been specializing in intellectual property law, especially patent law. During his studies he received practical training with the German Patent and Trademark Office as well as various German and U.S. patent attorney and law firms in Frankfurt, Munich and New York.

He studied inter alia in Keele, England within the framework of an ERASMUS-exchange program. During his legal clerkship in civil law matters at the District Court of Frankfurt he was with a chamber specialized in trademark and copyright law.

From 2004 to 2007 he taught German, European and U.S. patent law at the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt.

As of 2008 Kay N. Kasper is visiting lecturer for Patent Law at the faculty of law of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University Frankfurt am Main and lecturer for Technology Markets and Patent Law for the Master-Program of International Business & Tax Law at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
